Who I Am

For the first twenty years of my life, I blossomed beneath the unwavering sunshine of Southern California. Growing up, my parents constantly encouraged me and nurtured my passion for literature and art. In many ways, it was inevitable that I’d go on to receive my BA in English while minoring in Art History, enjoying every (well, almost every) class along the way. The opportunity to solidify my well established interest in writing and cultivating my newfound love for the history of art was an experience I will always cherish.

Upon graduation, I could sense that even greater opportunities awaited me elsewhere. Aching for a new adventure, I flew half way across the world to continue my education at University College London, where I received my MA in English. My year abroad was full of growth—as a writer and a person—and shaped me into the person who I am today. I think back to that time with a full heart and hope to return one day.

I currently reside in Austin, Texas. When I’m not writing, you can find me in a yoga studio or in front of a bowl of queso.
